The Russian School No. 1 in Marbella (Spain) and the Dar Association (Morocco) announce the launch of the Dear Our Russia project for Russian-speaking teenagers aged 12 and older living in different countries.
Every evening at 20:30 (Moscow time), the Zoom platform will host meeting-performances on various topics:
– geography of Russia “Vast Russia, a unique country”;
– the country’s historical past “The history of Russia is a special page in the history of mankind”;
– culture and traditions “Different peoples have been living in Russia for a long time”;
– Russian language “Not boring Russian”;
– classical and modern Russian literature.
The project will bring together teachers from schools and universities in Russia and European countries, children’s writers and experts from the Kniguru reading contest, public figures, as well as teenagers themselves, who will tell about their hobbies.

The II International Forum “Education without Borders: Science, Experience, Prospects – 2020” was held in Marbella (Spain). Peoples’ Friendship University, the Russkiy Mir Foundation of the University of Granada.
Workshops and seminars were held for six days. Within the framework of the forum, advanced training courses for teachers of the Russian language, an exhibition of the largest Russian publishing houses, a presentation of textbooks and teaching aids, an exhibition of leading Russian universities, a youth videoconference and an exhibition of the Our World is One Family project were organized. The participants of the event got acquainted with the Spanish education system, visited schools and universities in Granada and Marbella.
To promote the Russian language abroad and develop interest in the Russian education system and culture, the Ministry of Education of Russia is implementing a number of large-scale projects. In particular, cooperation in the field of organizing children’s recreation and learning the Russian language is developing fruitfully with Mongolia, the press service of the department reports.
Every year, children from Mongolia come to the Russian children’s centers “Artek”, “Orlyonok” and “Ocean”, and school graduates enter Russian institutions of secondary vocational education and higher educational institutions. Also, schools, centers and classrooms of the Russian language have been opened in Mongolia, where training is conducted, among other things, according to Russian educational standards.
The Ministry of Education of Russia maintains and develops the infrastructure necessary for learning the Russian language and immersion in Russian culture abroad.
So, for example, with the support of the Ministry of Education of Russia in Mongolia, on the basis of the library of the Dornod University in the city of Choibalsan, the Center for Open Education in Russian and Russian Language Teaching is operating. It is equipped with the necessary equipment, teaching materials and literature: in the use of students more than 100 books of fiction for adults, as well as illustrated children’s publications.
The project “We will go to Artek” is aimed at increasing interest in the Russian language in Mongolia, in which children learning Russian take part. The project is being implemented within the framework of a trilateral cooperation agreement signed by the International Children’s Center “Artek” with the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Ulan Bator and the non-governmental organization “Children of Mongolia”.
The popular competition “We will go to Artek” gives Mongolian children an opportunity to show their knowledge of the Russian language and win a ticket to one of the shifts at the Russian children’s center in 2020.
According to the results of the already held online competition of video presentations, the winners were the “Happiness” team of school No. 84 of the Bayanzurkh district my dad my hero essay of Ulan Bator, the “Rainbow” team of the school No. 2 of the Uyanga Uvurkhangai aimag, and the “Star” team of the Progress school of the Khovd aimag.
The Russian language in Mongolia is a compulsory subject for study at school from the 7th to the 9th grade; in high school, children can continue to study it at will.
From the 2020/2021 academic year, the Ministry of Education of Russia also plans to launch a humanitarian project to ensure the work of Russian teachers in schools in Mongolia.
On April 27, the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation will hold a round table “Digital educational space as a tool for promoting the Russian language abroad” at the Moscow International Education Fair (MISO), which is held online format from 26 to 29 April 2020, according to the press service of Rossotrudnichestvo.
The event will discuss education in general and the promotion of the Russian language abroad, closely related to the implementation of additional education programs in foreign countries. Participants will tell how, under conditions of restrictions, to preserve the interest of students, how to provide educational content that will not only retain, but also increase the number of those interested in learning Russian, and how Russian language teachers abroad are now being “rebuilt”.
The main topics at MISO-2020 will be preschool, general, secondary vocational, higher education and additional education. A separate part of the IMSO will be devoted to the interaction between the state and business. More than 250 events of various formats will be held in the forum part, in which up to 1000 experts and speakers will take part online.
Cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan aimed at increasing the level of general education in Russian in the republic will continue, the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation informs.
The countries confirmed their common interest in bilateral cooperation during the working trip of the Russian delegation to Uzbekistan, headed by the First Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Dmitry Glushko. He held working meetings with the Minister of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov, the Minister of Preschool Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Agrippina Shin, as well as the Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Uzokboy Begimkulov.
The result of the cooperation was concrete agreements on the implementation of measures aimed at improving the quality of general education in Russian in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During a meeting with the Minister of Preschool Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Agrippina Shin, Dmitry Glushko spoke in detail about the national projects “Education” and “Demography”, interim results of implementation and possible recommendations for their use by Uzbek partners. In particular, he stressed that in Russia considerable attention is paid to the modernization of the content of preschool education, focused on the individual characteristics of the child’s perception.
Dmitry Glushko noted that already this year a number of measures are envisaged to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of education with the Republic of Uzbekistan. For example, the implementation of the joint humanitarian project “Class!”, In which Russian methodologists will conduct a comprehensive linguistic audit and identify the needs of the Uzbek side in the study and teaching of the Russian language.
“The Russian methodologists who arrived in Uzbekistan have the goal not to assess, but to diagnose the level of teaching the Russian language and, together with colleagues, determine the most effective teaching methods to improve the level of language proficiency for both schoolchildren and teachers. The project will improve the level of education in Russian in Uzbekistan. I also think it is possible to work out the issue of connecting preschool teachers in the future to this project, ”said Dmitry Glushko.
The Uzbek side confirmed its interest in the development of projects aimed at increasing the level of Russian language proficiency in the republic. The Minister of Preschool Education Agrippina Shin also highly appreciated the Russian methods of working with children with disabilities, stressing that Uzbek teacher-defectologists undergo training in Russia every year.
During the meeting, the parties decided on the need to provide Russian target quotas for subject teachers from Uzbekistan. At the same time, one of the significant steps for the development of cooperation in this area is the opening of a branch of the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I.
